My Personal Project

Thank you for scrolling my portfolio. In this folder I would like to represent you my personal project "My Special Friend". I wrote and illustrate this story at 2019 while I lived in London but it is still my favourite one.

The story called "My Special Friend" was my first illustrative project. One day I woke up with the idea to illustrate the book. Funny thing is that I wrote this fairy tale in one day, because I was really inspired, excited and unstoppable.
Inspiration to this story was the popular " Little Red Reeding Hood". When I was child I not really like this story because the concept wasn't understandable enough; wolf was killed for being wolf.

So I decided to write an opposite story about little wolf Wolfie. After he read the book about " Little Red Reeding Hood " he was terrified to meet the human being. But one day his mother asking him to visit his grandmother, who's living in the wood. And even little Wolfie was really terrified to meet the people in the wood he still really wanted to visit his granny. And suddenly he met one little girl, who got lost in the wood. She asked Wolfie to help her to find the way to the village. And this is how the story goes.

This story is about how to fight against your fears and about the friendship. It will show to the kids that it's okay to have some fears, but we also need to try to be braver for ourselves and for the people we love. Also this book is about friendship without judgment and with completely acceptation of someone, who is different than you. Also I hope than this little fairy tale will show to the kids all importance of mutual support and mutual assistance.

After I wrote this story it was self printer at Ukrainian Book Publishing, but unfortunately I started this project straight before the COVID-19, so the process of presentations and sales was a bit slower than I expected. So if you would like to support this project - you can check my online shop.
